Denver is the capitol and most populated city in Colorado. It is located in the Platte River Valley in the western foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The official elevation of Denver is exactly one mile above sea level. The combination of having a healthy and large population of residents, as well as being located in the vicinity of pristine mountain ranges, provides a local or visitor with numerous opportunities to live life at its fullest. Some of the leisure and entertainment options around the city of Denver include: (1) sports and recreation, (2)arts and culture, (3) and heading to the mountains.

Denver is a juggernaut of some of the most popular suburban communities in the United States. Since Denver’s economy is very healthy it has countless commercial companies and enterprises. If you want to head to the mountains, four major ski resorts and/or hiking locations are within a 120 mile drive of downtown Denver. Vail is located 90 miles from Denver and offers more than 120 individual trails and terrain unlike any other ski resort in the United States. With world class ski resorts like Winter Park in the area, it would be an ideal vacation destination to hit the slopes during the day and hit town for a perfect night cap.

Cherry Creek North, a premier retail and dining district is a highlight of downtown Denver living. There are over 350 businesses ranging from unique fashion design houses, jewelry stores and home furnishing stores; spas and nail salons, art galleries and restaurants. All of these merchants and services are nestled around the Old Harman Town Hall and a still working elementary school. Neighborhoods are premier so finding a Denver house is easy. If shopping is not your cup of tea, Denver offers other enjoyable leisure opportunities. These activities include the second largest performing arts complex in the world, live music and comedy being performed every night at the Red Rocks, with hip and world class art galleries. Denver has a number of museums that provide a unique spin on art and history.

Denver has a passion for the micro-brewery. Metro Denver brews more beer than any other city in the country, everyday there is a new hand crafted beer out on the market. So you need to take advantage and take a tour of a local brewery. There is so much to do in the Denver metroplex. It really is an outstanding option for a winter dream vacation destination or place where one could have vacation home.

    With so much to do in Denver, it’s hard to choose where to start in the Mile High City. Denver is home to the Rocky Mountains, over 300 days of sunshine a year, and a culture that mixes rich history with a young, vibrant and active population. In other words if you ask us, it’s the perfect place to be.
